Our Courses
In Abacus Mental Arithmetic, there are typically 15 grades, each representing a level of proficiency in using the abacus to perform mental arithmetic calculations.
The grading system starts with Grade 15, which is the basic stage. At this level, students learn the fundamentals of using the abacus, such as how to identify the different beads and how to manipulate them to represent numbers.
As students progress through the grades, they learn increasingly complex techniques for performing mental arithmetic calculations. These may include methods for quickly adding or subtracting numbers, or more advanced techniques for performing multiplication and division.
Level 1 is typically the highest grade in the system and represents an advanced level of proficiency in using the abacus for mental arithmetic. At this level, students should be able to perform complex calculations quickly and accurately, using a range of advanced techniques and strategies.
Grades are typically assessed through a combination of written exams and practical assessments, in which students are asked to solve a range of arithmetic problems using the abacus. Teachers or instructors may also use ongoing assessments to track students' progress through the different grades and identify areas where additional support or instruction may be needed.
There will be 2-3 times of GRADING EXAMINATION per year. If the students passed the examination, they will receive a certificate by the International Examinations Board of the Chinese Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Association.
